Western Maryland College Student Government Association Despite competion from the Student Union and a secession attempt by 169 Pennsylvania House, the Student Government Association continued to take an active role in student life at WMC in 1977-78. The S.C.A. sponsored the Quad Party and a series of movies in Decker and co-sponsored several cafeteria parties and coffeehouses. It also brought Melba Moore and Pure Prarie League to Western Maryland for the two big concerts of the year. On a more serious level, the S.GA opposed the $95 overload charge and no-need scholarships. The organization bought a copy machine for use by campus groups and sold student directories It also called for a moratorium on tests after Homecoming and May Weekend. The S.GA recognized the Feminist Alliance and developed a Judicial Board plan for next year. President Paul Fulton, the Executive Committee, and the Senate should be commended for their accomplishments this year 72
