BETA BETA BETA Beta Beta Beta, the honorary biological so- ciety under the sponsorship of Dr. H. P. Sturrlt- vant, strives for a working together of science students with the purpose of sharing knowl- edge find advancing common interests. Trl- Beta meets regularly to have discussions and speakers to inform the members of present developments and opportunities in the scien- tific fields. Each year a scholarship from the Milton Hendrickson Memorial Scholarship Fund is ofFered to a deserving member fOI summer study. In addition to the academtc pursuits of Beta Beta Beta, there are also social functions such as 11 colorful initiation held at the home of Dr. Sturdivant, and an annual picnic. This year, Western Maryland's Tn-Beta chapter celebrated its 25th anniversary and, at the same time, was host to the members of the Regional Conference. The officers for the year were: President, Paul Ensor; Vice-president, Marian Scheeler, Secretary, Mary-West Pitts; Historian, Sara Ellen Price; Treasurer, Dr. Sturdivant, anrl Dr. Lawrence H.
