SAGA OF TODAY
Millions of faces pass by my window
Some peer in
Some I don't know
Now begins the Great Show.
You peered in
And I peered out .
And then our lips began to shout
Things weren't really thinking.
Then the corners of your lips reached up
To touch your eyes
And my face broke into
Easy pieces landing in your palm.
Then you pressed your nose against the pane
To inhale the laughter you had just pulled
from within me,
And I painted a picture on the glass
Stroking in my awkward way
Trying to make it seem the same to you on your side
As it did to me on my inside;
But it Was hard to draw
So you would understand.
You squeezed my hand
And I apologized for being a poor artist.
Then you smashed your fist through thep+-e
And squeezed my mind
As you fingerpainted my soul
rn your own special design.
Some of our ideas went out to play
Which left us with lots of time to figure out,
And parts or us paired in the wind
Blowing our minds like huge breathing bellows.
