ON THE SEA LASHING the Earth
With Its Wet Tongue
Relentless, relaxing
Crowning, collapsing
Mud-moulding lands
With cold, briny hands
Clutching and clawing
Rising and falling
Splashing and spraying
Whirling and waving
Drowning and saving
Sea of disaster
Earth with sea-master
Beat sea pulse faster
Throbbing and throwing
Breaking and blowing
Relentlessly flowing
Everywhere going.
