RIFLE TEAM The concept of riflery has proven itself over the course of history. The individual soldier has found from years of war experience that his ability to fire and maintain his rifle h,IS not only resl;lted in saving his life, but has con- tributed to the defense of his country, America. Civilian agencies maintain marksmanship schools as a prerequisite for training as investi- gators, detectives, and other civilian positions vital to our daily protection. Western Muryiand attempts to build marks- manship through the organization of the rifle team. Coached by M/Sgt. Crawford Coyner, the riIle team has been ,lble to demonstrate by competition with surrounding colleges and universities the effectiveness of its riHe train- ing. Captained by Ken Nrckoles during the first semester, and Larry Cain during the second semester, the team has been able to compile ,1 very respectable record of wins. ,\"/Sgt Crawford C.
