Hockey Ground, sticks - ground; sticks - ground, sticks! The women's fall sports program had begun, and field hockey intramurals had be- come a subject of conversation in the dormi- tories. Experienced and beginning hockey enthusiasts alike plodded out to their new field on "Seminary Slope" to develop skills and teamwork techniques. Competition between the class teams was more acute than usual, with the freshmen women finally seizing the championship in the last game of the season. After intramurals were completed, the Women's Athletic Association Board selected an honorary hockey team, consisting of out- standing players on the class teams. Seniors chosen were Ann Clemmitt, Carmela DeFlora, Diane Deland, Norma Lee Etzler, Katherine Mitchell, Carol Pettersen, Betty Reid and Anne Voshell. Juniors Beverly Hill, Charlotte Prevost and Joan Wood, and sophomores Mernette Houck and Rhea Ireland were also selected. Rounding out the team were fresh- men Sue Beeler and Janet Pricer.
