Cheerleaders Go - Terrors - Go . . . was the familiar phrase heard from the enthusiastic cheering squad! Headed by their co-captains Diane De- land and Kay Payne, this squad did an excel- lent job in arousing school spirit. This college spirit was a result of the much improved pep rallies ... Blanche Ward Gym and Alumni Hall rang out like never before. Highlights of the year 1958-59 ... Stiffness after the first game due to overworked mus- cles . . . the election of two excellent fresh- men girls and another boy to the squad . . . and the jubilant cheering during the unex- pected but glorious defeat over Johns Hopkins. Pom Pom Team Yellow, Yellow, - Green, Green, is called by the newly elected captain, Barbara Long, and the Porn Porn girls begin their routine. Smart precision from the girls has been recognized by the entire student body. The girls perform during the pep rallies and during each home game. This year they performed, with one exception, at half time for all the home games. Homecoming day, a circus theme was presented, and during half-time of the Hopkins game, a theme of model cars.
