Since The Trumpeters were founded three years ago by Dr. Katherine K. Car- michael, former Dean of Women here on the Hill, they have proven themselves worthy of assuming the great honor asso- ciated with their office. Dr. Evelyn Mudge is the advisor of these five senior women who are selected to be Trumpeters on the basis of scholarship. leadership, character, and citizenship standing. Other than being at the constant beck and call of any other organization which may need their aid, they sponsor the May Court breakfast and the Birthday Dinners. Their purpose being to help others, we find their motto a good one: "For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?" (J Corinthians 14:8) Seated: M. Seltzer. J.
