During this school year the "M" was changed from a gold chenille letter to one with a green edging on a gold felt background. This was done in order to distinguish the girls letter from that of the boys' The girl with mediocre ability can work hard.s+come faithfully to cractice.c-make a team, and in the end win her monogram;-but only the skill- ful athlete,-the girl who enters into every sport, will be able to win an "M." In addition to these awards that are based on points, a special award is given to one or more seniors who are "M" girls. A faculty committee whose members are unknown to the student body, convenes and selects the winners of this award. To qualify for this honor a girl must be an all-round athlete, must perform service on the campus, and must be in good scholastic standing. These three things are character- istic of the woman who wears a blazer with the seal of w. M. C. on the pocket-the highest award. This year that went to Elizabeth Hagan and Catherine Hall seniors who had exemplified the qualities of good sportsmanship and good citizenship. The intra-mural program can be divided into three seasons-the first from the time of enrcllrnent until the Christmas holidays-the second from Christmas holidays until spring vacation-the third from spring vacation until the close of school. The second division is played indoors entirely, but the other two are conducted outdoors. During
