way beforehand-but, after thinking about it for a moment, I realized
that it had really made perfect sense. The only thing that worried me
was what Fat Mary-Seamus' girlfriend-would have thought of this.
They stopped after a while before looking at me. Both became
very silent, and their eyes grew wide. Dwight put a hand over his mouth,
while Seamus merely slumped over in embarrassment. After a moment,
they realized that Iwasn't going to go anywhere, so Dwight finally
spoke:
"Oh ...um ...what's up White Billy?"
"Yeah, what's up man?" asked Seamus in concert, trying too
hard to appear casual and nonchalant.
"Oh, nothing;' I said, trying to seem as non-judgmental as
possible, "just enjoying the show." That was a shitty thing to say,Baby-
Dick.
"Urn ..." started Seamus. "...Yeah...Iguess...uh ...damn ..."
"Yeah;' I continued, carefully. "I'm ...OK with this. Com-
pletely." To be honest, Iwas shocked; there was no denying that. Still, I
suppose it came as no surprise, and ultimately it didn't affect me in any
tangible way. So, they were gay? How would this change anything?
"Please don't tell the guys?" Dwight pleaded.
"This is between us, Ipromise;' Isaid.
Dwight and Seamus were full on gay for each other, and even I
had to admit, they made a cute couple.
On Saturday, Seamus hosted a party at his house, with booze
lovingly provided by his older brother. At that point, he was still
closeted to everyone but Dwight and myself Ikept my word to not
let anyone else know of their secret romance. After all, they were my
friends-likely the closest ones Ihad ever had-and between us was a
word of honor and a secret that Icould never share with anyone. Two
secrets, counting Dwight's hidden and utterly blasphemous distaste for
Opeths Blackwater Park.
When Igot to the party at around eight o'clock, things were
already moving at a good pace. Todd (or Faggot, as the guys officially
