EQUILIBRIUM
Misery!
is a strange looking word,
proclaimed the girl wearing the top hat
and two belt buckles on her feet,
who had a penchant for unrequited desire
and the display of her ability to knot cherry stems with her tongue.
Misery!
suffers through bitter agony
but is proud, a charming little beast,
she chanted at the top of her lungs,
hoping to awaken her lover, her mother,
and the deity who rules the dreamland.
Misery!
is a world all its own, a disease
of tremendous power, an hour clock
without any sand that just sits
unmoved on a river delta.
Misery is a strange looking world,
proclaimed the girl stripping bare,
dripping with anxiety upon the floor,
and I am independent of it, she cheered.
