Someone Else's Rainbow

It was someone else's rainbow
     For someone else's eyes
         It was someone else
               That this rainbow did rise
For me the colors weren't as bright
Nor the edges clean and sharp
It was way too thin, eaten in
                        Andfading in twilight dark
Yetfor someone else, in just the right place
                        The rainbow would stand clear
And to their heart filled with awe
                                  The rainbow would be dear
