Mary Had A Little Gun
by Jennifer S. Scott
Mary had a little gun,
With lethal steel for foes;
And everywhere that Mary went,
That gun was sure to go.
It came with her to school one week-
There wasn't any rule;
To make the children die and weep
When shooting it at school.
So the teacher turned her out,
But Mary lingered near;
And waited patiently about,
Till enemies did appear.
''What lets Mary hurt us so?"
The stricken children cry.
"NRA, people's rights, you know,"
The teacher did reply.
