AND YOU LIKE THE SEA

Unbridled fury
Crashing against my heart,
Forever the waves of anger

mix with the pool of confusion
I find myself in.

And you, like the sea,
are stormy,

moody from one day to another.
Sunrise and sunset,
Your anger at the world
Flying through the air,

slamming against me,
Drowning my love for you.
And then you smile,

expecting me to understand.
The calm after the storm.
