A strong group of freshmen turned out to be the most outstanding members of the 1992-93 Green Terror wrestling team, which posted an 8-10 mark= Nick Stafford, a first-year competitor in the 125-pound weight class, led the team in wins as he fin- ished IS-5. Stafford, who tied the school single-season record for pins with 11, placed fourth at the Middle Atlantic Con- ference (MAC) tournament· Stafford's classmate, lIS-pounder Justin Mikulski, ............................ Wrestling Fine Freshmen had an 11-4 record, while Joe Flemming, another freshman, went 12-11 in the 177 and 190-pound dlvlsions s Sophomore heavyweight Ted Speers joined Stafford as an MAC placewinner. Speers, who missed a large portion of the season due to injury, came back to finish fifth. Western Mary- land finished 13th out of 17 teams at the MAC tournament.
