FOR FIELD HOCKEY The defense was remarkable. Cassilly al- lowed only 16 goals during the regular sea son, 9 Jess than last year. Aided by seniors Marcie Allman, Phyllis McMahon and MiĀ· chelle Pierdlnock, and juniors Micky Potts and Cindy Deeds, the Terror defense proved themselves one of the best in the MAC. It was the offense that had troubles and experience was the key word. They returned only three people, all juniors with limited playing time, Reenie Gardner, Lori Rafferty and Rose Walsh. The rest of the offense were newcomers and the lack of playing together was apparent. That pressure took its toll as more goals were scored against WMC in the second half than the first. A number of games were lost by one goal scored late in the game. According to Cessifty. the team was frus- trated but never dejected. "We didn't dwell on our losses. We knew we were young. It takes a long time to mold a good team. It ought to be a great team next year. There are only six of us graduating" Weyers added her own thoughts. "The girls never played less than 100%.
