Mack's Co-op was an attempt to 'show the machinery running behind the apparently smooth workings of a successful col ... farm. Willy Mack, of course, never realized the truth. He lived his "own little life of delusion" untouched by revolts, firmly believing through- out the show that he was the head of it all. 66
