· .. iunior follies 1957 There was a basic point of friction on the farm between two groups, the Animal Heads and the animals. The Heads were "reasonable" in their demands, by merely requiring com- plete obedience to their dictates. A 3.0 average in corn production was expected. Failure to meet this requirement resulted in immediate exile to Maryland Moo. The animals, on the other hand, were a fun- loving lot. They disapproved of rules, regula- tions, and meetings, and liked nothing better than going out behind the barn to the Gravel Pit. Animal meetings were held, and the general concensus of opinion was "It's A Great Time To Plan A Revolt." 67
