Al Bopst was the team's leading scorer with 307 markers for a 14.8 average, while Co-Cap- tain Needleman tallied 272 points for a 12.9 average. Other high scorers were Charlie White with 157, Co-Captain "Soup" Campbell with 143, and Charlie Phipps with 143. The squad was handicapped by the injuries to Harry Tull and George Sipe, both 1952-53 regu- lars, who saw only limited action. Team statistics for the entire season included 474 field goals and 392 foul shots made for a total of 1323 points. T.he average was an even 63 points for the twenty-one games. Lettermen were Bopst, Needleman, White, Campbell, Phipps, Chuck Bohan, John Kauffman, "Whitey" Schofield, and Jim Whitehurst. Bopst snares rebound.
