a shot in the dark
you dangle promises of forever
before these empty hollow eyes

but each day is a forever
and how long is yours?

so you kiss her here
in this warm open air
clutching at her spirit
with your sweaty desperate palms
wanting to withdraw in secret
taking a few pieces of the innocent essence
inside your vicious violent lips.
