Petal boats
speckle the stream
in staccatos of white
Weaving together
in silence
comingtogether
and drifting a par t
like strands of corn silk afterbirth.
Led by pebbles,
they flow
with bubbles
'til the fall
where they rip
and split their white
and bleed
in shredded tears
never
to see
again.
