WOMEN'S LACROSSE Improved Defense Key To 7-4 Season The women's teams seem to im- prove with each year. The women's lacrosse team and the year 1982were no exception to the rule. The Lady Ter- rors went from 2-7-1 in 1981 to 7-4-1 in 1982. There are two reasons for this turnaround, according to coach Kim Easterday. Number one is an improved defense. "Only one team scored in double figures against us," said Easter- day. speaking of Mickey Potts. Diane Cavey. Kristin Lathroum, and goalie Carol Resnick. Resnick, the team's Most Valuable Player, turned back more than 71 per- cent of shots on goal, and averaged almost 15 saves per game. Potts and Cavey. both Seniors, will be sorely missed next year, Lothroum, a Fresh- man, was "very consistent on de- fense", according to Easterday Lathroum is an example of Easter- day's second reason for improvement; that is a blend of new and old giving the team a well balanced mix ;]0
