The 1977-1978 Basketball season was an exciting one due to a competitive schedule and a team full of new faces Only three lettermen - Mike Walter, Vince Wesley, and Bernie Jankowski returned from the previous year. Re- maining squad members included Damien Maggio, who was on sabbatic- al last year, but lettered in 1975-76, former JV players Mike Margiotta, Rich- ard Braver and Peter Randall, as well as several outstanding freshmen, In- cluding Lester Wallace, and Junior transfer student Walt Burke. The eight win, thirteen loss record will surely be improved upon next season as the young and talented squad gains ex- perience. 140
