The season began slowly for WMC women's basketball, with five losses in the first five games. The wins came eventually, and the team had almost consistent victories during the sceond half of the season. Obstacles to an even more successful year were the loss of three seniors to graduation and a high injury rate. Seniors Kelly Dargon and Sally Stanfield finished their ca- reers in Gillon February 16th, scoring 8 points each toward the 74-47 victory over Wilson. The team fared well in the MAC tournament on February 23rd, ending the season with a 8-8 record 143
