Coach Sam Case and Buddy Burke guided the WMC matmen to a 9-6 record this year with a sixth place finish in the MAC Championships. In the MAC's captain Greg Banks took second in the 190 weight class. Also strong performances were turned in by Terry Caudell, Bruce Lerew, Charlie Hordal, and John Hoontz. Another highlight of the grapplers' season was their Jan-term visit to Great Britain, Spain, Switzerland, and Austria 137
