The Western Maryland Soccer team opened its season on September 17th with a 4-2 loss at Moravian. Unfortu- nately this was an indicator of things to come. Despite high hopes for a winning season, the record after the final game on November 5th stood at one win, nine losses and two ties. Ex- pectations for next year run high. The Terror team is young, only seniors Jamie Mosberg and Ed Ginsberg will be lost through graduation. Co-Captains Ron Rhodes and Doug Barnes will be back with their one-two scoring punch, aided by bright spots John Pat- rick and Dave Zauche. Talented return- ing players Andy Friedwald, Jeff Wahlbrink, Keith Lawson, and Joe Yurcisin will provide a solid WMC de- fense. The experience gained should boost the team to a winning 1978 sea- 132
