Women's Tennis First Row: A. Ebmeier, J. Hitchens, K. Blades, M. A. Richards, C _ Shubert. B. Bernhart. Second Row: P. Moore, N. Dewkin, S. Goucher, S. Phoebus, Coach C Jesatko, C. Reinart. Although most of last year's starters were back, this year's tennis team was a young team, consisting of only one senior and SCOREBOARD the rest sophomores and freshmen. But this was a team of ex- perience. This was evident in the final season record of 4 wins and WMC . . . 6 St. Joseph •• 1 2 losses. The girls worked hard and succeeded in matching last WMC. .4 Towson ....... 3 year's record. WMC . .. . 2 Goucher ....... 5 New Coach Carol Jesatko organized the team with five singles WMC . . .4 Notre Dame .... 3 and two doubles so that everyone could play. No one sat on the WMC . . . .4 Gettysburg bench this year. Nancy Dawkins led the team with no losses while WMC . ... 3 Hood .. 5 first and second singles players, Chris Shubert and Annie Ebmeier, only gave up one match apiece. The girls played a consistent game and should be strong at the net next year since senior Patty Moore will be the only loss. 89
