The Mushroom Crowd Modern theatre is a theatre of change. It can reveal a well-polished, tightly constructed play or it can evolve into the experimental realm of the scenario with an emphasis on improvisation and actor ingenuity. Returning to the Renaissance scenario and ultimately to the ritual, the play, "The Mushroom Crowd," was born in a mind, never to be formulated on paper. Spontaneity pervaded the show and all realized that tomorrow's show would bear only slight resemblance to today's. 56
