Iota Gamma Chi Variety in the year's functions highlighted 1968-1969 for Iota Gamma Chi. Returning lotes began their autumn activities with an informal rush party in the clubroom. The final party a few weeks later entertained guests at a Japanese Teahouse. Rushing activities continued with bidding and concluded with acceptance night, at which new pledges and lote sponsor, Mrs. Ira Zepp, were honored. Interior decorator's' fever infected the Sabre Sisters as they purchased and rearranged the new clubroom furniture. "But Emma. you'll have to write a check to pay for it. We've already bought it." A clubroom sleep-in, and pizza and Christmas parties terminated the first semester for the Iotas. An innovation in campus women's activities was the lotes "Spring-Thing," a fashion show by the Dulaney Shop, with the lotes as models. The lotes' own Avon Wonder Girl, Woody Feisler, spearheaded the successful sales campaigns, paying for the orchestra at the winter Formal. March eighth found the lotes caught up in couture, coifs, and corsages at the Coachman's Quarters at Peerce's Plantation. The Sabre Sisters are new mothers, having adopted John Petchimuthu, an underprivileged boy from India. 1. Carol Fleagle 11. Cindy DeWitt 2. Jane Fiesler 12.
