Though they were quite at home at the I.S.C. regulated tea, the Roaring Twenties rush party revealed the true Delt spirit and influenced the decision of nineteen enthusiastic Delta Sigma Kappa talents of our newly inducted pixies were exhibited. Mem- Hell Week and high water, the hidden pledges. Through bers and pledges alike agreed that a more constructive and less time consuming system of rushing and pledging should be worked out for next year. Ideal Pledge Connie Herrmann volunteered to work on the problem, but in the meantime, what could be more constructive than whisking Pledgemaster Barb away from her super-suspicious body- guards? Joanna and Jackie hatched a brilliant scheme, and with president Wade as an accomplice, plus a few brawny Bachelor brothers, tucked gullible Barb away in Dixie's hide-out. Christmas activities began with Santa and a caroling expedition, gained momentum with a clubroom classical poetry hour and ended with the traditional broad-oro bash. Party-loving Delts surprised sponsor Mrs. Carol Shook with a baby shower and the campus with the first sorority closed party featuring a live band. That's one way of establishing inter-fraternity spirit! Presidents Little Wade and Sue Mawby supervised plans for a formal dinner-dance with a Dr. Zhivago theme. The Birthday Banquet and the Senior Banquet closed out RECORDING SECRETARY: Kay Underwood the year with food and laughter and tears.
