"Far Surpassing Wealth Unspoken ... " Many activities are open to an enterprising young student as he enters the portals of this venerable institution. Besides those listed in the catalog, he may find himself drawn to the worthy, old WMC tradition of Grille-table-roosting. This activity has been limited, because of the consid- erable time which is required, to those who are caught up in their work and have attained an in- dex of, at most, 1.3, over two semesters. Another popular and stimulating sport may be found in the Billiards Parlor. This game, the highest attainment of a cultured, young man, is pursued with the dedication its fine old reputa- tion deserves. The individual may also find culturally en- lightening activities right in his own room. Im- promptu concerts are very popular, especially with one's neighbors, who are grateful for the melodious strains which come drifting thru the air, diverting the mind from cumbersome studies. Also to be enjoyed in the privacy of one's room is a sport which requires extreme skill, much practice, a deadly aim and great daring. This activity, while not recorded on official rec- ords, has the highest rate of participation on campus (in season). This is, of course, the tra- ditional sport of hydro-plastic bombardment. One may sometime accidentally stumble across a formal, organized program, too. He might even see a group of students from a school for the deaf, performing skillful, beautifully executed dances. Please note, however, that at- tendance at such functions is only permitted after requirements in the above activities have been met.
