The Female of The Species Is More Deadly .... Western Maryland College has always protected its ani- mal life. We ate blessed with many species. The amorous aardvark is the most prevalent. It can be distinguished by its dewy eyes, the loud "smacking" noise it makes and can always be found in two's. These animals are commonly found in dorm lobbies, fraternity clubrooms, car seats and dark grassy areas. They are considered dangerous only when aroused. The campus also abounds in gobblers. Not having par- ticularly fussy eating habits, it is found most often in the dining hall, where it can be recognized by the sounds it makes, "slurp, glub, guzzle." A third species is known by its scientific name, Biologic Ma;orum. This vicious animal prowls the dark burrows of Lewis Hall in search of its prey. It feeds liberally on mice, cats, and baby pigs. The human animal is sighted upon occasion, too. Trav- eling usually in two's or three's, they come in swarms to watch the destruction of their fellows. Western Maryland College has more squirrels than any other college in Maryland.
