The candidates were duly inspired and soon learned of the need to build Prudence Grunion, a building where citizens could socialize and hold bigger and better orgies. The structure was to be dedicated to Prudence Grunion, a beautiful "babe" who had never been built. A struggling Candidate, Ulysses Smith, quickly gained prestige by "volunteering" to head a committee responsible for erecting the building. Sweetonius Youngus Thingus, better known as Max, immediately fell in love with this brave hero and offered to stand behind him in his endeavors and to be known as the girl who made him. After sampling social life in Dianopolis, Ulysses began his search for Prudence Grunion. Being advised to go to Hell, the hero's quest soon took him to the throne room of the mighty Pluto, god of the purse-strings. Here he encountered many candidates on other missions. Complaints regarding faulty plumb- While a few conformists strove for uniqueness ... Some individualists worked hard at conformity. 162
