ENTIRE BATTALION STARTING with the first roll call, the R.O.T.C. Battalion realized that the school year of 1942-1943 with the nation at war was to be entirely different from previous years. From the mightiest upperclassman, who knew all the answers, to the lowliest freshman, who had never seen the school before. the same intense desire pervaded to make the best of the opportunity presented by the R.O.T.e. for military training while in college. For most, it was only a matter of weeks, or at the most, a few months until love of W.M.C. as Alma Mater would be overshadowed by an alle- giance to the U.S.A. as a greater mother.
