At such periods of normal growth, the prob- lems oj students are made easier by the ever willing advice o] a competent counselor and leader. Particularly fortunate is Western Maryland College in having a man whose fine ideals of morality and conscientious striving toward goals of Christian citizenship have enabled students to meet the routine of daily living 1.vith reneu.ed. faith and determination. His lvillingness to approach, and his ability to understand and to solve student problems: together with his liberal tendencies, have inspired and commanded the respect 0/ the entire student body. Not only a man lvhose high standards of conduct are exemplary of an abiding faith in the 'worth oj his fellow-men, but one tvith a keen analytical sense, he has served his college and his students faithfully and ably.
