Worth the Risk? She

I don't really know you, Like water, so she goes
but I like your smile; a motion like she knows
  Those ice blue eyes,
your distinctive style. but then inside, within her cries
                                       "which way willi go?"
  I'd like to take time,
find out who you are; and she's lying in her room
Take a walk through the woods, and the world stretches wide
  a drive in my car.
                                       she waits for no one
We might hit it off, she caresses time
  and even be friends,
but I look to my heart Down the road, the wind blows
and the lesson it lends. secrets softly told

That's how it started, riding high and dropping low
my last romance, she wraps herself in snow
 friendly intentions,
but when given half a chance and she picks up off the ground
                                  things someone else already found
 OUf hearts took hold,
and now I must grieve, voices now inside her
we cared for each other, which one is her own?
 but I had to leave.
But through the woods, she knows she could
And now I feel as though rise above her highs
 I'd like to know you,
share in your fun, and in her heart she feels the art
and things that you do. reflected through her eyes

It's not fear of rejection and the day is hers to caress
or feeling a fool. and she knows more is sometimes really less
I've dealt with them both
I've learned much in school. She thinks of places
                                      where she will arrive ...
What frightens me most,
what I fear now from men, -Greg Preston
is the pain I may feel,
if I love again. -Kathryn Kent
