Youngst er ---
There will be a time in your life
When, enveloped in your mist of indifference,
You will lose your way,
Until you are forced to realize
Stark fact.
Then you will take Lady Fate by the hand,
And you must ask her,
"What have you for me?"
And you must wrest her answer from her
Though she bite

And scratch
And kick
And pound

(And she will, for that is the nature of Fa re.)
And, Youngster,
When you have her answer
Then shall you be called Youngster
No more.

A THOUGHT

Men stamping out forest fires with our feet

.Are we in our immaturity, . ce
But by and by the flash floods of expenen

Will cool the flaming passions of youth.

Old men, we shall need only spend

A moment of each day to quench

The few remaining sparks of rebellion,

And when our task is done,soshall we be.
