SPIDERWEB
Time and Time and Time--
Presentpastfuture welded;
Now I
As Then I
And Next I will.
Spiderweb! Time--
I was caught by birth:
Death will disengage me.
I remember!
Before the womb was Existence Place.
Beyond Time and its bastard offspring
In Vacuum sensationless,
The I that was was I rested,
Bodiless,
With a galaxy of others.
No Spiderweb then. Then,
Peace.
Now I am) caught in a Spiderweb.
I struggle
(It is in Man to struggle)
I struggle and become yet more entangled;
And ever closer comes the Spider,
Wrapping the yet-living in silken threads of Time and
Place
Entombing them in the myriad threads of Here and
Now.
Oh! Arachne comes to me--
Death, free me!
