Each player logooflheRavcnsdecor.ltedcachhelmel. carefully Smail Town The Westminster community was excited by the arrival of our new visitors this past summer -_the Ravens. Baltimore's new professional football team selected West- ern Maryland College for their training camp. Beginning on the 14th of July and running until the 14th of August, the Ravens got back into shape. Their practices drew about eight hundred people a day allowing fans the opportunity to catch a glimpse of their favorite Raven. The fans also came to try and get autographs of the players. Several WMC students were fortunate to help out at the camp. It was a great experience to interact with official NFL players and coaches. The Ravens frequented the restaurants and stores of Westminster in an attempt to become friendly with the local residents. This much appreciated excitement was a welcome change to the small town of Westminster.
