JAN TERM: ONIQOE CLASSES • • • • January arrived, brining the students of WMC back from their Christmas breaks in anticipation of the mischief and merriment of what is com- monly called "Jan term." This year's courses included a study of the Holocaust, a look into contemporary jazz, and examination of C.S Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia. and a consider" ation of the good and bad points of children's athletics. While some students chose to remain on campus to study the ancient Chinese game of "Go," others preferred to venture off campus to see the sights of the "Big Apple" or the Florida swamplands. Yet another example of the variety of Jan term experiences is the band formed this January, consisting of Greg Peterson, Steve Ports, Pete Weller, Rick Kaplowitz. and Larry Klass. The band worked for over forty hours per week to produce the original music which they presented at the end of the month at their "pub- lic final exam" in Alumni hall. But the academic side of Jan term is only the beginning "
