Adventurous Companions: Army ROTC The ROTC department continued to expand this as more students decided to look closely at the side of life, ROTC students had the opportunity to down the Shenandoah River, ride in a helicopter, and observe artillery fire with the National Guard Field Artd- ery. The Rangers "roughed it" at Bloomery and everyone "played army" at Fort Meade. For the campus in general, the department sponsored open rappel Is, for people who like to walk on walls, and a Tae Kwan Dee exhibition, for people interested in the Martial Arts. To raise money for their annual Military Ball, the students washed showed movies, and sold shrimp, candy apples, goods, and sandwiches. Ending the year with their annual picnic, the ROTC students proved that the Army can be fen B2
