May Weekend In spite of the threatening weather, the May Carnival went on as scheduled on May 6. It was a busy day for many campus organizations - the Feminist Alliance sold fruit salad, the Preachers sold hamburgers, the Tn-Betans checked blood pressure, and the Delis released tagged balloons. Entertainment was provided by the Trinidad and Tobago Steel Band with their Caribbean-style music Also performing was the Sounds of Silence, Western Maryland's own sign language interpretation group.
