Bluebeard the Pirate Sisters of the Sabre Your Pirateship: Launched with a watermelon over the prow, the galleon Iota Gamma Chi embarked on a voyage to recruit a new crew. A brawl started in the local tavern, when Mary began to sing. Above the crooning of a barber shop quartet, Elaine, trusty steward, commanded: "Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rootbeer," which immediately quelled the disturbance. Boarding the 5.S. Showboat, we shanghied a full crew. Jo, soprano emcee, sang out their names to the tune of "Five-foot Two." Hell night took place as we crossed the equator into strange waters, with Captain Cathy at the helm. There was no mutiny among the lubbers, even when Boatswain Sharon put the pledges through unusual antics at the Christ- mas party, held amidships. A final examination revealed that a squall had driven the ship off the first semester course and a new lack was taken with the election of new officers. More crew, along with other supplies were taken aboard during a stop at a friendly island, and all were invited by Chief Maggie to at- tend the annual formal rain dance. The Iota Gamma Chi is now on course and expects smooth sailing and lote fellowship all the way. Respectfully, Hippocampus First Mate Fir" rfl1ll: M. Blevins, D. Weaver, S. Sheffield, J. Musicol, M.
