Never fear for Student Buildings and Grounds Committee was near with transportation lists, ride surveys, safety inspections, and many sessions with the Director of the Physical Plant. Meanwhile, Pub- licity was quietly meting out menus, filling poster requests, blotting out social insecurity, promoting culture, and subversively undermining campus apathy. Human Relations was abandoned as im- practical and irrelevant in our mechanized exis- tence, and all abnormals were being handled ade- quately by the Psych department anyway. The Con- stitution suffered its annual revision and was al- most eliminated when we found it impossible to marshall a quorum of student votes until we dis- covered the Student Link. The Eternal Flame dimmed and even went out for two days, leaving us all in the dark behind the security-sealed doors of the SGA office. But with the installation of new lightbulbs, progress continued, and the beauty courts were elected, polls taken, carols sung, hot chocolate served, Buildings and Grounds improved, and all were had by a good time. Heading this puppet government was Ron who pulled the strings, Dianne who resigned (her- self), Ruthie who took verbal stands, and Dan who SENATE passed the bucks. It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. It was the era of critical self-evaluation, indignation, articulation, recapitulation, and final resignation. -~~-- First row, left /0 right: J.
