reserve officers In 1919 the War Department authorized the establishment of a senior unit of the Reserve Officers Training Corps at Western Maryland College. Since then Western Maryland has trained young men to take their places as officers in the U. S. Army. The Professor of Military Science and Tactics is Lt. Col. Dayton E. Bennett. He is assisted by his staff including: Maj. Alfred V. Clark, Capt. Francis E. How- ard, J\'i/Sgt. George J. Bromwell, M/Sgt. Crawford C. Coyner, and Sfc. William J. Suehowicz. A student may obtain a commission in the Reserve Army through ROTC since the federal government has set up a training program that Miss Jean Lambertson, sponsor. coincides with the student's academic subjects. llNI"fALION STAFF
