For the Wind
I went into thewind today
That tempest that raged outside.
While you were wrapped into your robes
wrapped around your coffee mugs
I went into the wind.
I laughed at you-behind-the-window-panes
encased in stale air
While I opened my arms to the wind
The wind went into me.
I felt the raindrops pressed against my skin
by the wind
While chlorine droplets fell from your showered hair
The rain went into me.
I slipped through the dampened fields
You wallowed in the Restoration and geometry
But the wind has restored me
the rain has made shapes on my flesh Euclid
could never understand
As you can never understand
How the wind and rain have gone into me.
