Atrocity
Blueness overcomes all the
birds see,
There a hawk brown with
boldness
is shot down with a red
arrow
by an ignorant child
innocent, unaware
of death
"Just a game."
The jaws close in and bite
the noble head off
the emperor of the air.
He sails earthward
struggling upward
greatly deterred
by the loss of blood.
The land turns black.
An innocent eye weeps
realizing.
