MAKING LOVE TO A TREE
Standing back, I watch you.
Long, sleek body topped with dark curls.
Firmly rooted, strong, unmoving,
Skin greenish-brown from sun.
I walk around to see all sides.
Knowing none the same.
Knowing, none the same.
Rubbing by body close,
I feel your smooth roughness.
Arms tightly circle,
Hands move slowly up and down-
Curves beneath make palms tingle.
Fingers find secrets.
Nose smells your strong scents.
Tormented kisses leave lips torn and cracked.
I roll against you.
Faster.
Faster.
Tongue touches to taste
Sticky white liquid of life.
Take me into your limbs.
I climb higher.
Here I find weakness.
Here I find you.
Straddled legs hold on for life.
Fingernails inch under skin.
I cry.
Here among our shared beauty.
Let me stay curled into your limbs.
For a while.
Cradle me in your arms.
Let me nest and feel you close.
Let me dream while we're together.
I came looking for you the other day.
You were gone.
Man cut you down.
Man stole my lover away.
