.'
If you do not know me now, you shall in the future.
Everyone comes to know me during his lifetime, for I am inevitable.
I visit those who are proud; I visit those who are meek.
I visit men rich in matter but poor in wisdom. I visit men
high in ambition but low in principle.
I can build men into mountains, or I can trample those same men
into dust.
Some men accept me cheerfully as part of their philOSOphy of life.
Some men know me as a friend who dispels delusions of grandeur. $ome
men know me as life itself.
To some, I am but the spark, and theirs is the flame. To others,
I am the deluge.
I can be your catalyst.
I can also be your executioner.
Some of you will come to know me well, while others will ,but shake
my hand and walk away. '.
But all of you will know me.
If you do not know me now, you shall soon meet me.
I am failure.
