It seems that the American people have
finally abandoned their complacency and have
assumed a more responsible attitude. Taking
up arms in defens~ of their homes against the
a~essor, today's minute men are certainly
warming the hearts of the D.A.R. Mother, like
days of old, tearfully but proudly packs off
her sonny with a homemade blueberry muffin and
a meat cleaver, and awaits the fearful news that
he has died for the cause while fighting it out
in a sewer on the next block. As history pro-
gresses, no doubt there will be someone with
enough patriotism to look back and say, "This
was their finest hour."
